AIA (Authorized Inspection Agency)
An Inspection company registered with ASME that performs inspection of vessel manufacture requiring the ASME Stamp.
AI (Authorized Inspector)
A certified inspector (AI) is employed by an Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) as a person with a certificate of authority issued by the U.S. or Canada, a mandate from the National Board, and an approved mandate of "A" level.
PRE (Registered Professional Engineer)
PRE is authorized to review the Design Verification of ASME Sec.VIII Div.2, and his(or her) main duites are User Design Specificaion (UDS) review and U2 Stamp.
